The famous dish was created in 1952 and named after General Zuo Zongtang, a Chinese military leader in the late 1800's. The creator of this popular dish, Peng Chang-kuei, died in 2016 at the age of 98! That's a long, delicious life of eating General Tso's. Coincidence? WE THINK NOT.

Did you know that if you live in on the west coast, you're more likely to enjoy Orange Chicken than another tempura dish? Why, you ask? Well, Orange Chicken was popularized by an L.A.-based restaurant chain in 1983. And people out there just seem to prefer it. Especially when it's served with our all-natural orange sauce, made with orange juice, soy sauce, ginger, white wine vinegar and cayenne pepper.

You may not have noticed, but we are in the midst of a Sweet & Sour craze in this country. People are putting sweet and sour sauce on everything. Some foodies claim it's rapidly becoming the new ketchup. While we can't take complete credit for the gain in popularity, we are very comfortable suggesting that our version of this chicken classic is adding to the sweet and sour phenomenon.
